Corona 19 Virus Updates

I wanted to bring everyone up to speed on what we are doing in our community with regard to COVID-19. Melissa will be cleaning 2x a week and concentrate on bathrooms, door knobs, outside tables etc.

Jan has posted a sign on the door (and website) asking that residents put all payments in the box outside and that the office, while she is working, will not be taking any face to face appointments. Interviews for purchased properties will continue however.  People must call to discuss any issues whether they be regarding payments, broken sprinklers etc. This will be in place until the end of March and then we will revisit everything.

In addition, we have posted flyers provided by the City in our glass case as well as on our website. The Mayor sent me a new updated flyer today (which Jan will post in the case and put on the website) and they will be providing us with enough copies to deliver to each home. Melissa has agreed to deliver them and we can pay her $50 just like we would with the newsletter. If anyone disagrees, please let me know.

It looks like everyone in the country is using March 31 as a "deadline" so to speak, so we will do the same for the office. At the end of March we will see what is going on with the virus and the state of things and we will decide where we go from there and whether or not we will have a board meeting. We do have the space in the main clubhouse to be set 6 feet apart if necessary.

We are concerned that people are not receiving our Tamarac Code Red calls and emails.  Therefore, a postcard will be mailed out tomorrow asking people to register for our City’s Code Red for calls and/or emails so that they can obtain alerts.  If people do not want to wait for the postcard, they can go to: https://public.coderedweb.com/CNE/en-US/F82F07D67E96 (or go to “How Do I” from the City’s home page) and register.  Our County has also been posting on its website and sending emails. The website to register for information from Broward County is: https://www.broward.org/Emergency/Pages/AlertBroward.aspx. (May have to copy and paste the web-address into the browser.)

As you already know, the City is also continuously updating our City’s website (https://www.Tamarac.org/Coronavirus).

Below is the newest NextDoor post that I would appreciate your sharing with the community as you deem appropriate.

As always, if anyone, doesn’t have to be a Tamarac resident or business owner, has any questions, I am available via cell (954-263-1918) or email (Michelle.Gomez@Tamarac.org).

Thank you for working to keep everyone healthy and safe!
